Dinner and a show! Audiences at Wakefield Theatre Club could treat themselves to a meal before a performance.

You had a choice of grapefruit or prawn cocktail to start. For the main, there was chicken, steak, gammon or scampi.

Pie and peas was a cheaper alternative. There were salads as a healthier option.

The club also offered a full drinks list. A celebratory bottle of Moet & Chandon would’ve set you back 49/-. Babycham was a more reasonable 2/6. It cost 2/10 for a pint of bitter.
