Home Education: Textile crafting (7+)

Workshop time:

• Wednesday 14 October, 12:45pm to 2:15pm

This workshop is for home educated children aged 7+ and their families.

Be inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry!

In this workshop, we will:

• Have a go at making textile crafts to take away

• Create images and patterns using different techniques including sewing, needle felting and fabric pens

• Use the artistic style and stories of the Bayeux Tapestry to influence our own designs

No previous experience of textile crafting is required.

This workshop has been designed to complement our Bayeux Tapestry - Live Broadcast session in the morning. The morning session is free but must be booked due to limited capacity. 

You can attend either session as a standalone workshop. If you are attending both sessions, you are welcome to eat lunch in the Activity Zone - you can bring a packed lunch or purchase food/hot drinks from The Keep Café

This session is delivered in partnership with the Community and Family Learning Team at Wakefield Council’s Adult Education Service.
