The Easter Dragon Egg Hunt at Pontefract Castle is back for another year, and better than ever!
Join in with different dragon activities between 28 March and 6 April. Enjoy crafts, interactive storytelling and games. And yes, we're open on the Bank Holidays!
Help Ilbert the Dragon find all his eggs on a special trail. Explore Pontefract Castle together and complete fun challenges. Collect your free trail sheet from the Visitor Centre, 10am – 3pm each day.
Enjoy dazzling dragon crafts in our Activity Zone, come rain or shine. Where will your creativity take you? Crafts available 10am to 3pm, 28, 30 and 31 March and 3 April.

It’s time for the annual Dragon Parade at Pontefract Castle!
Enjoy lots of fun crafts and storytelling sessions as you prepare for the big parade at 2pm.
There is something different to entertain you every day. It’s going to be eggcellent!
All the activities, including the trail, are free! No booking required.
SEND versions of these sessions are also available. Pre-booking is required for these to maintain a relaxed atmsophere.

The Keep Café will be open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am – 4pm. It will also be open on Monday 30 March. Refuel with hot and cold drinks and snacks.
