Home Education: Medieval medicine (7+)

Workshop times:

• Tuesday 29 September, 10:30am to 12pm

• Tuesday 29 September, 1:30pm to 3pm

This workshop is for home educated children aged 7+ and their families.

Explore the fascinating world of medieval medicine with us!

In this workshop, we will:

• Find out what medical treatments were available in the Middle Ages

• Discover what the four humours were and medieval beliefs about their relationship to health

• Explore surprising medieval medicine recipes

• Have-a-go at creating herbal remedies* for imaginary medieval patients

*Please be aware that fresh herbs from the castle garden will be used in this workshop. We will touch and smell the herbs but will not taste them.
