Home Education: Hygiene through history (5+)

Workshop times:

• Friday 18 September, 10:30am to 12pm

• Friday 18 September, 1:30pm to 3pm

This workshop is for home educated children aged 5+ and their families. 

Discover what hygiene was like in ancient times before power-showers and fruit-scented soap!

In this workshop, we will:

• Learn how Ancient Romans cleaned dirt from their skin

• Explore how Vikings removed earwax

• Find out what medieval gong farmers did for a living

• Get hands-on with a variety of replica objects related to bathing, cleanliness and disease prevention
