Step into the rich history of one of the world’s oldest writing materials! Join us for an inspiring, hands-on workshop masterclass exploring oak gall ink.
We’ll begin by uncovering the fascinating story of oak gall ink. It was used for centuries in manuscripts, art and record-keeping. You'll learn how it is traditionally made.
You’ll make your own oak gall ink and explore mark-making. You'll then use these skills to decorate a ceramic bauble.
We’ll then discover how to transform oak gall ink into a printing paste. We'll create and use handmade stencils to create bold, original designs on a reusable tote bag.
This workshop is a great way to treat yourself or bought as a gift for a loved one!
Tickets cost £60 including all materials, skilled instruction and light refreshments.
This time slot includes a break of approximately 30 minutes for lunch. You can get hot drinks and cakes from The Keep Café on site or bring your own packed lunch.
This workshop is for adults aged 18 and above.
