Have a Dabble Masterclass: Jewellery making

Design and make your own silver ring and brass necklace! Learn how to use basic jewellery making tools to form your unique ring and necklace in this special Masterclass. Discover how to apply different techniques to create textures and finishes.

Work with local jewellery-maker Genevieve Broughton and learn the basics of silversmithing! Choose from a range of designs and be guided through the making process by Genevive. She will show you how to add your own personalised flourishes for a lasting impact.

This workshop is suitable for beginners, no experience is needed. It is a great introduction to basic jewellery making techniques. All materials and tools are provided.

Genevieve Broughton is a jewellery designer and maker with over 25 years’ experience. Her work combines precise geometric shapes and stylised natural forms in minimal designs. They are created using traditional silversmithing techniques. Genevieve is based locally in Wakefield. Her jewellery is exhibited and sold in numerous shops and galleries around the UK.

Please note: We recommend wearing comfortable clothes which you don’t mind getting dirty. You may also wish to bring your own apron. The process of hammering metal can be a bit noisy. We will provide ear plugs, but feel free to bring your own ear defenders if you have them.

This workshop is a great way to treat yourself and get away from the everyday. It would also make a brilliant gift bought for a loved one!

Tickets cost £60 including all materials, skilled instruction and light refreshments.

This time slot includes a break of approximately 30 minutes for lunch. You can get hot drinks and cakes from The Keep Café on site or bring your own packed lunch.
