Primary schools
We have many interactive and exciting workshops available to book for primary schools. Our sessions cover the breadth of the Key Stage one and two National Curriculums.
You can book a workshop at one of our sites. You can also arrange for our Learning Officers to deliver sessions at your school.
2026-27 Primary School Programme

From Roman Castleford to the Victorian home, we've got something for every student.

2025-26 Primary School Programme
We are still taking bookings for our 2025 - 2026 Primary School Programme until the end of this academic year.
Workshop costs (up to 35 pupils)
- £80 for standard workshops delivered at one of our sites, school dungeon tours at Pontefract Castle or virtual sessions delivered online
- £135 for whole day workshops
- £130 for one outreach session delivered in-school
- £190 for two outreach sessions delivered in-school on the same day
- £215 for three outreach sessions delivered in-school on the same day
Book 5 sessions in a school year and get a sixth free, if all booked at the same time.
Self-led (teacher-led) visits to our sites are free, but must be booked in advance.
Please note that outreach sessions delivered beyond the Wakefield district will incur a small additional mileage charge.
Lunch spaces
Please be aware that there are no dedicated indoor lunch spaces at our venues.
You may be able to book one of our learning spaces to eat packed lunches, depending on availability.
